“I’m looking forward to returning to my hometown,” says Cleroux, “Pictou County has a strong business community, and I can’t wait to play a supporting role in that.”

With a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Dalhousie University’s Schulich School of Law and currently pursuing her MBA with an Advanced Certificate in Management and Leadership online through Clarkson University, Christina brings her educational background and experience as a litigator to Pictou County.

“Christina’s previous achievements in both academics and athletics prior to starting her career as a lawyer are truly commendable,” says Co-Managing Partner Jennifer Hamilton Upham, “Garnering the Alistair Fraser Award for Excellence in Family Law during her law school journey and her commitment, teamwork, and discipline, as evidenced by her NCAA hockey experience, position Christina as a perfect addition to our existing team of Corporate Commercial lawyers.”

Claire Wayne joins Patterson Law’s South Shore office in Bridgewater and focuses on family law, civil litigation, estate planning, probate, and corporate law.

“Patterson Law’s presence and reputation in multiple regions of Nova Scotia means that I will be able to connect with clients in other regions and jurisdictions, while continuing to build my practice locally on the South Shore,” says Wayne.

Claire received her Bachelor of Arts from McGill University (2017) and Juris Doctor from Dalhousie University, obtaining Certificates in Law & Technology and Aboriginal & Indigenous Law (2022).

“We are very pleased to be welcoming Claire to the firm,” says Co-Managing Partner Kate Harris, KC, TEP, “The South Shore is a perfect environment for an up-and-coming lawyer to  build their practice, and with Claire’s eagerness to serve her community, we cannot wait to see the relationships she creates.  We will certainly help her practice thrive.”
