Associate Lawyer, Family Law (Bridgewater)

We are seeking an Associate Lawyer experienced in Family Law to join our Bridgewater office.

The new Associate will focus on delivering high quality legal services both independently and under the direction of more senior legal professionals for a broad range of complex family matters, including but not limited to separation agreements, divorces, division of assets, spousal and child maintenance, custody, access, and adoptions.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a member in good standing of a provincial bar and eligible for membership in the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society.
  • Preferably two (2) years or more experience, but applicants with lesser experience are welcome to apply.
  • Solid understanding of legal procedures in the area of Family Law.
  • Strong communication, advocacy, and dispute resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships and attract new clients.
  • Strong work ethic with a professional and positive interest in their work.
