Biography

Clarence Beckett takes pride in offering over four decades of exceptional legal experience to his clients. He practices in the areas of Civil Litigation and Insurance Law with an emphasis on defence. Clarence has served as Patterson Law’s managing partner, Litigation Group Chair, and Insurance Litigation Practice Group Regional Chair. He has made appearances in all Courts in Nova Scotia as well as the Supreme Court of Canada, has taught the insurance section of the Bar Admission course and was recently selected to be published in Lexpert, Canada’s respected legal directory. Clary has been listed in The Best Lawyers™ in Canada since 2006, and was named Halifax area’s Lawyer of the Year in Personal Injury Litigation in 2010 and 2019, and Lawyer of the Year in Insurance Law for 2012. He was awarded the prestigious Lee Samis Award of Excellence by Canadian Defence Lawyers in 2017.
