Patterson Law Welcomes Christine Black to Truro Office as Family Law Lawyer

We are pleased to announce the addition of Family Law Lawyer Christine Black to the firm’s Truro office.
Christine is a welcome addition to the firm’s Family Law Group. She rejoins the private practice sector after years of dedicated public service at the Family Responsibility Office of Ontario.
“Christine’s experience in both the legal industry and the public sector makes her a valuable addition to our team,” says Co-managing Partner Jennifer Hamilton Upham. “Her ability to combine legal expertise with practical, real-world advice aligns perfectly with the values and strengths of our family law practice.”
Christine’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Commerce from Saint Mary’s University (2006), and an LL.B from Dalhousie University (2010).
“I am honoured to be returning to the practice of Family Law by joining Patterson Law’s accomplished group of Family Lawyers,” says Christine, ”after growing my family to include 3 children, I have a much richer understanding of how to assist clients in designing effective and child focussed solutions for their families. I consider it to be an immense privilege to represent clients on their family matters and aim to resolve disputes in a collaborative and settlement-oriented manner.”
Prior to her return to Nova Scotia from Ontario, Christine lived in the province for 25 years, spending her early years in New Brunswick and Newfoundland. She is thrilled to have settled in the beautiful town of Truro and is excited to serve the community through her work at Patterson Law.
