We at Patterson Law would like to extend our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to all the residents of Nova Scotia affected by wildfires. We understand that our family, friends, clients, and neighbours across the province are facing hardships, and we want you to know that we stand by your side as a united community by offering the following services.

Document replacement services

Losing and replacing personal legal documents is stressful and costly. For existing Patterson Law clients, we will be replacing wills and other estate planning documents free of charge for those that have lost their original documents in the wildfires.

Free notary services for claims documents

Patterson Law is committed to supporting clients and non-clients of the firm by providing notary services free of charge on documents pertaining to property insurance matters and claims for homeowners directly affected by Nova Scotia’s wildfires.

The emergency services referenced above will be primarily offered from the firm’s Quinn St. location in Halifax and will be offered province-wide for those directly affected by this year’s wildfires effective July 19th, 2023.
