Welcome 2020 Partners

The partners of Patterson Law are proud to announce the admission of Benjamin Carver, TEP and Sandra McCulloch to the partnership.  “Ben and Sandra are accomplished lawyers and we are pleased to have them join us as owners of the business.” said managing partner, Dennis James.

Ben Carver practices primarily out of the Bridgewater office. He focuses on trusts and estates, advising clients on all aspects of estate planning, as well as probate and estate administration. He also acts as counsel in contentious disputes involving wills, trusts, inheritances and powers of attorney.

Ben studied law at McGill University, earning degrees in civil law and common law. He has been designated a Trust and Estate Practitioner by the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and sits on the Executive of STEP Atlantic.

Sandra McCulloch has always been passionate about helping people through difficult times, which has led her to develop a practice a litigation practice in the areas of probate and estate matters, as well as personal injury and insurance disputes.  She also has worked for municipal clients and has been involved in matters concerning animal welfare.  Sandra practices primarily out of the Truro office.

Sandra is a graduate of Carleton University and Dalhousie Law School.  She is a native of Pictou County.

Carver has practiced in Bridgewater with Ferrier Kimball Thomas since 2013.  He joined Patterson Law in July 2019 when the firms merged.  McCulloch has been an associate with Patterson Law since 2011.
