On April 18 and 19, 2020, an unspeakable tragedy occurred in Portapique, Nova Scotia and surrounding communities.  On behalf of the victims of this tragedy and their families, we have filed two class action proceedings, seeking recourse firstly against the deceased gunman’s Estate for the gunman’s horrific actions, and secondly against the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the Province of Nova Scotia in relation to the law enforcement response to the actions of the gunman.

We are actively seeking the assistance of the public to provide information that may be relevant to the gunman’s actions and the law enforcement response to those actions.  We are grateful to those of you who have already reached out to assist us, and we thank the public for their ongoing interest and support of our efforts to pursue answers, and justice, on behalf of the victims and their families.

If you have any information you feel might assist us, we encourage you to reach out to us.  You can use the form below, or you can contact us by telephone at (902) 896-6100 or by email at nsstrong@pattersonlaw.ca.

Yours Truly,

Robert H. Pineo & Sandra L. McCulloch
