- Assisting creditors in collecting debts including, enforcing security in receiverships and foreclosure proceedings, petitions in bankruptcy and enforcing judgments
- Advising insolvent businesses and individuals on strategies to restructure, including proposals under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act, plans of arrangement under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act or informal arrangements with creditors
- Advising and assisting Licensed Insolvency Trustees in bankruptcies, receiverships and creditor protection proceedings
- Advocating for and appealing decisions in insolvency proceedings such as decisions of trustees in bankruptcy, monitors, Registrars and Courts
- Challenging security given or transactions undertaken by debtors on basis of a preference or an undervalue transaction, or defending such transactions
