Biography

Anne-Marie first joined Patterson Law as a law student in the summer of 2017. She later articled with the firm, gaining admission to the bar in 2020. After her admission to the bar, Anne-Marie clerked for the judges of the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal. From her time with the Court, Anne-Marie brings strong research and analytical skills, and a valuable perspective on the judicial decision-making process to her practice.

Anne-Marie has a broad corporate commercial practice, advising business clients at various stages of their business life cycle from incorporation to windup/dissolution. Clients engage Anne-Marie for matters including purchase and sale transactions, corporate finance, corporate real estate, commercial leasing, contract negotiation and corporate governance matters. Anne-Marie is able to advise clients on the practical applications of Canada tax law and has attended the Canadian Bar Association Tax Law for Lawyers Conference. Outside of the office, Anne-Marie is a part-time academic at the Dalhousie University Agricultural Campus where she teaches an introduction to business law course.
