Julia Maloney

Property and Estate Planning Lawyer

Biography

Julia is a partner with Patterson Law LLP and Chair of our Real Estate Practice Group. Julia’s real estate practice is focused on residential property. She represents clients on purchase, sale, and financing transactions, no-value transfers, conversions of title to Nova Scotia Land Registration, subdivision and consolidation matters, the preparation and registration of easements and other instruments affecting title, and generally all non-contentious matters involving residential property. Julia also has a practice of guiding clients through the probate of both testate and intestate estates. With a proactive view toward end-of-life matters, she regularly assists clients with the drafting of wills, guardianship appointments, and powers of attorney.

Julia genuinely enjoys getting into the weeds of technical matters while stepping back to see the overall picture and communicate in a way that is accessible to every client.

Julia volunteers in the Spryfield community by sitting as Secretary on the Board of Directors for the Edward Jost Children’s Centre.
