Biography

Born and raised in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Austin obtained his Bachelor of Arts in History with a Double Major in Accounting from Simon Fraser University. During his undergraduate studies, Austin worked as an accountant for several small and medium-sized businesses in British Columbia and Egypt, developing an appreciation for the complexities of corporate and commercial work both at home and abroad. Austin obtained his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Ottawa in 2025. During his time in law school Austin worked on Parliament Hill, where he served on the staff of the Vice Chair of the House of Commons Standing Committee for Health, helping to draft, amend, and advise on several pieces of federal healthcare legislation.

Austin remains an active member of the Pictou County Barristers’ Society, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Pictou County Community Health Centre. Austin is excited to be back home in Nova Scotia and looks forward to working with clients from his hometown.
