Biography

With over 45 years of experience, Rob Purdy has brought outstanding legal expertise to Patterson Law in the areas of civil litigation and insurance law. He has represented clients at all levels of court in Nova Scotia and in the Supreme Court of Canada, including those in high-profile civil and criminal cases. He has tried numerous jury cases. He has participated as counsel in many mediations in cases involving insurance, personal injury and commercial disputes. Rob has also served as both mediator and arbitrator.

Rob’s passion for law is demonstrated in the numerous lectures on personal injury and insurance law that he has given at insurance industry and Bar seminars. He is recognized by The Best Lawyers™ in Canada for Insurance Law and Personal Injury Litigation since 2006 and has been named “Lawyer of the Year” in both practice areas.
